**PRESIDENT**

**Studying:** Bachelor of Advanced Computer Science Majoring in Artificial Intelligence
**Fun Fact:** I've done Irish dancing for 13 years
**About My Role:** As you might guess, my role involves overseeing all of Science Union's events and portfolios and ensuring that committee members have what they need to achieve their full potential.

SECRETARY

Name: Biork Alia

Studying: 4th year majoring in Anatomy & Human Biology with a minor in Women's Health

Fun Fact: I don't understand the weather AT ALL - literally how do they know it will rain in like a month

About My Role: I am the Science Union Secretary! This means I am responsible for a lot of the behind the scenes work like planning meetings, making sure our events can run and are accessible, and also making sure our committee is cohesive and welcoming for all :))

**Name:** Clay Oxlade
**Studying:** Bachelor of Science (Physics)
**Fun Fact:** I eat any unattended leftover foods and drinks at pubs/bars
**About My Role:** As treasurer I have the (unfortunate) role of doing all of the behind the scenes budgeting, grant applications, and banking. I’m here making sure our events are as affordable as possible and making sure Science Union doesn’t go bankrupt. I also order in all of our merch (check it out xx)

EDUCATION VICE-PRESIDENT

Name: Sally Clark (She/Her/Hers)

Studying: 3rd year Botany and Genetics

Fun Fact: Once in a lab I accidentally blew up a leaf

About My Role: Hi! I'm your Education VP for 2025, so I'm here to help you pass your units with flying colours and graduate with no stress! Got a class that's getting you down, or a unit outline that makes no sense?

Name: Jerome Williams (He/Him/His)

Studying: Bachelor of Engineering: Mechanical Eng

Fun Fact: LeBron James is my second cousin, twice removed

About My Role: Hey! I’m the Externals Vice President for our science club. My role is all about connecting with other clubs, organizations, and professionals outside our group.

I work on setting up collaborations, bringing in guest speakers, and organizing events to keep our club engaged with the wider science community. It’s all about building connections and creating opportunities to learn and grow.

Name: Preston Kirby (He/Him/His)

Studying: Chemistry and Conservation Biology

Fun Fact: I taught French people how to surf in Morocco

About My Role: As the Marketing Vice-President, my main role is to help Science Union put our best foot forward by ensuring our social media pages and promotional materials are top-notch! It's important to me that besides being aesthetically pleasing our content is accessible and easy to consume for everyone. Most anything you see across our Facebook, Insta, LinkedIn, Discord, or TikTok was made or approved by me!

WELFARE VICE-PRESIDENT

Name: Meghana Vemulapalli (She/Her/Hers)

Studying: Masters in Biological Sciences (Conservation Biology)

Fun Fact: Pelicans are my arch-nemesis (don't even ask)

About My Role: My role is to help coordinate the welfare portfolio and run wholesome events for science students. This means I run whole heap of the warm and fuzzy stuff, including our volunteering crawl, Relay for Life, and SafeTalk.

I also coordinate the Equity and Diversity subcomittee ensuring that both Science at UWA and Science Union are welcoming and diverse spaces. If you’re chasing some welfare opportunities im your gal so feel free to get in touch!

Studying: Bachelor of Science: psychological and behavioural science

Fun Fact: I moved countries 9 times growing up

About My Role: Hello!

I’m SU’s Social VP for 2025 and I’m your go-to girl for all things fun! I am here to run all the epic social events that Science Union will be hosting this year and am always keen for input and ideas.
